About Us

Before Gloria Govan, the multifaceted mompreneur from Oakland, Ca, and Erica Lynn, the creative visionary from Los Angeles, Ca, formed Inclusive Wellness they were each little girls with big dreams. Having had individual success in their various ventures, the  proud women of color came together with one goal in mind, to change the way the wellness industry looks and feels by creating something centered on community and inclusion. 

For Gloria, her mother's breast cancer journey sparked her interest in cannabis which led her to discover what the plant can do. There has been a stigma around the use of the plant without much education. Thus, her passion for educating and changing how we view and consume cannabis began with an emphasis on CBD.  As the baby of 10 kids, she watched her mother pour out so much of herself without much reprieve. She couldn't help but wonder if the burnout contributed to some of her medical issues. Now, as a mother of five herself, Gloria understands well the difficulties in maintaining the balance of both tending to your family and yourself. However, what we all know to be true, even if we don't always apply it, is that you can't be of service to those who need you if you're not at your best. Determined to inspire more people to understand the importance of self-care beyond the trendy use of the word, she recruited her good best friend, Erica, to join her in the fight.

Erica grew up in a world of self-expression with parents who believed in her dreams and provided a space for her to be herself. Yet, she still found herself at times feeling as though she could be in a crowded room, and no one would hear her screaming. These feelings persisted at a very young age, but with the ability to hide behind her acting career, she hadn't entirely understood nor had a name for exactly what she was feeling. As an adult, she understands that she's been dealing with depression since she can remember. As a Black girl, there isn't much room to be soft. You're born with the understanding that you must suck it up, be strong, and keep it pushing. It's become a characteristic of Black women that is usually most used to describe them. However, Erica is determined to help change the narrative, not just for Black women but for anyone dealing with mental health issues. It's essential to create space that allows people to feel as they feel, process as they need, and heal along the way. She hopes to empower those who see their struggles as a flaw to now use it to fuel them to push through. As the old saying goes, Look good, feel good. The hope is to help you look the way you deserve to feel.

Through the healing agencies of CBD and after extensive research, the ladies are excited to launch what they hope will be a groundbreaking and innovative approach to wellness.
